A topic we found current and intriguing is the comparison between the old and the new. By now everyone has read or at least heard of the Scarlett Letter. Well recently a movie was made referencing that book, Easy A. Our topic that we feel is worthy of a discussion is do replications from an "older" book or movie to a newer version allow the readers (our students) to be able to relate to and bring them closer with the text or with the movie or does it essentially push them away?
